Some mail providers, including Outlook will not respect a padding style. Instead, attempt to the indent on the editor or use margin within the code.

To indent a line or paragraph of text:

Starting point - editing the email message.
  1. Highlight the text or paragraph you want to indent
  2. On the Formatting tab, click the Indent button
  3. Repeat clicking the Indent button until you reach the desired indent
  4. When finished, click Save
Note: if you want to indent by a specific pixel amount:
  1. Follow steps 1-3 above
  2. Navigate to View>HTML Code
  3. Locate the <p tag for the start of the text you want to indent
  4. Add the following code: within the opening <p> tag: style="margin-left: 10px;"
    • ​​Note: if the indent should be to the right, replace left above with right
  5. When finished, click Update
  6. Click Save
