When configuring BBIS Communications Preferences Form in Service Pack 16 you may encounter an error if you have not used both the Consent Communication part and the Email Opt-Out part on the page. Error: “You must select either the consent solicit code that is linked to CRM’s “Do not email” consent solicit code or the Email opt-out option”. It should be possible to select only one of the Consent Communication part and the Email Opt-Out part on the page and save successfully.

Work around: If you ensure that the Consent Communication part is anywhere within the topmost section you should be able to save successfully. Edit the section order and drag the section containing the Consent Communication part to the top of the page.

Steps to reproduce are: Prerequisites:
Ensure Consent Solicit codes are configured in CRM
Ensure an EU Solicit code is mapped in Configure Integration
In BBIS > Site Explorer > Forms > Create new form – Type = Communication Preferences
Drag an Appeals part (or any other part) onto the form
Create a new section on form, ensure it is placed below the first one
Drag Consent Communication part onto the new section
