To mass categorize applicants within an opportunity:
  1. Go to Opportunity>Portfolios>Opportunities
  2. Enter the Name of the Opportunity in the Name column
  3. Click View
  4. Select the Applications tab within the Opportunity
If you are categorizing individual applicants, select those applicants from the grid:
  1. Scroll to the bottom of the screen, select the dropdown box under Act on Selected
  2. Select Categorize
  3. Choose a Category
  4. Click Categorize
If you are categorizing all the applicants in the Opportunity:
  1. Mark the Select All box
  2. Once all Opportunities are highlighted, scroll to the bottom of the screen, select the dropdown box under Act on Selected
  3. Select Categorize
  4. Choose a Category
  5. Click Categorize
If you are categorizing applicants based on their current Category:
  1. Navigate to the Category column
  2. Select the All dropdown box and choose a category to filter on
  3. Select All
  4. Once all Opportunities are highlighted, scroll to the bottom of the screen, select the dropdown box under Act on Selected
  5. Select Categorize
  6. Choose a Category
  7. Click Categorize
  • Repeat for any other categories as needed

To mass categorize applicants regardless of Opportunity using a Bulk Actions Grid:
(We will use the Auto-Match Applications as an example. The process will be repeated for each type.)
  • Go to Opportunity>Portfolios>Bulk Actions>Auto-Match Applications
If you are categorizing individual applicants, select those applicants from the grid:
  1. Scroll to the bottom of the screen, select the dropdown box under Act on Selected
  2. Select Categorize
  3. Choose a Category
  4. Click Categorize
If you are categorizing all the applicants in the Grid:
  1. Select All
  2. Once all Opportunities are highlighted, scroll to the bottom of the screen, click the dropdown box under Act on Selected
  3. Select Categorize
  4. Choose a Category
  5. Click Categorize
If you are categorizing applicants based on their current Category:
  1. Navigate to the Category column
  2. Select the All dropdown box and choose a category to filter on
  3. Select All
  4. Once they are all highlighted, scroll to the bottom of the screen, select the dropdown box under Act on Selected
  5. Select Categorize
  6. Choose a Category
  7. Click Categorize
  • Repeat for any other categories as needed
  • Repeat for the other types of Opportunities as needed, eg Apply-To Applications, Post-Acceptance Applications, etc.
