The local Microsoft Office clipboard is separate from the clipboard for Blackbaud Hosting Services. Consequently, copy/paste operations may work intermittently when transferring clipboard information across Blackbaud Hosting Services's Citrix connection. 

**Note: This is a known limitation of Citrix software rather than Blackbaud Hosting Services. Blackbaud is unable to address this issue because it is related to third-party software.

Alternate solution: If you have Direct Drive Mapping enabled and are pasting all of the contents of a file to a Word document or Excel spreadsheet:

  1. Save the text in a Microsoft Word or Excel file on your local computer.
  2. Open the hosted version of Microsoft Word or Excel 2007 where you would like to paste to.
  3. Click the Insert tab, click the dropdown menu for Object (on the far right side of the top menu), choose the option for Text from File.
  4. On the left side, Click Computer > Local Disk (C: on .....) and then locate the file that is installed on your hard drive.
  5. Locate the file you wish to paste into the destination document.
  6. Click Insert and then OK.

If you do not have Direct Drive Mapping enabled, you can perform this task using the Files Folder (steps below).

Alternate solution: If you are pasting all of the contents of a file to a Word document or Excel spreadsheet:
  1. Upload the Microsoft Word or Excel file to the Blackbaud Hosting Services Files folder.
  2. In the hosted version of Microsoft Word or Excel 2007, go to the destination document.
  3. Choose Insert, click the dropdown menu for Object, click Text from File, Browse. (Do not select Link to File or Display as Icon.)
  4. Locate the file you wish to paste into the destination document.
  5. Click Insert and then OK.
