- Refer to the this KB article to use Luminate Engagement Factors to clean the offending segment(s) based on engagement to remove anyone who hasn't been engaged in the past 90 days. While we require that you do this on the segment(s) that were used for this campaign, it is likely that you are hitting spam traps outside of this segment and we recommend starting to work to remove disengaged users from your entire house file. Once Blackaud notifies you that you are delisted, after a 30-day period, you can begin to ease this restriction back slowly – to 120 days, 180 days, etc. Blackbaud will work with you to provide data of spam trap hits that will help you determine how far you can extend back out without hitting spam traps.
- Identify any outside list acquisition sources and talk to them about any validation they do on email addresses to ensure they don't include spam traps. All email from outside sources MUST be validated before being brought into Blackbaud's system.
- Review your online forms and confirm that you are, at a minimum, using reCAPTCHA or double opt-in on all non-transactional forms collecting email addresses with the intent of adding email addresses to your email marketing program.
